YSU TRADE UNION WILL NOT CHARGE MEMBERSHIP FEE FROM EMPLOYEES FOR THE PREVIOUS 15 MONTHS. THE DECISION IS MADE IN FAVOR OF THE EMPLOYEES

YSU Trade Union has decided not to charge the membership fees for the previous 15 months, the decision on the transfer of which was made by the civil courts of first instance and the Court of Appeal.

Dear employees,

We would like to inform you that the RA Court of Cassation did not accept the cassation appeal of YSU (ԵԴ / 34663/02/19) on the civil claim, and, in fact, the decisions of the court of general jurisdiction of the first instance and the civil court of appeal remained unchanged.

In other words, the court of general jurisdiction of first instance and the civil court of appeal ordered YSU to make deductions of unpaid membership fees from the salaries of YSU employees who are members of the trade union for the previous 15 months (10.2019, 12.2019, 02.2020, 04.2020-04.2021) and make a transfer to a bank account of Trade Union of YSU.

Concerned that the collection of membership fees for 15 months will undoubtedly become a great financial burden for YSU employees, not wanting to create additional social problems for the low-paid YSU employees, guided by the principles of university solidarity and social partnership:

YSU Trade Union decided not to charge membership fees for the previous 15 months, appealed to the Acting Rector of YSU with a request not to deduct membership fees for the previous 15 months from the salaries of staff who are members of Trade Union, which is about 15% of the monthly salary of an employee.

At the same time, YSU Trade Union decided to collect membership fees for the previous 15 months from the salaries of those employees who are members of the trade union and will terminate their membership at YSU Trade Union after a court decision for a civil case ԵԴ / 34663/02/19, that is, after May 19, 2021.

In case of submission of applications to suspend the membership at YSU Trade Union, certified copies of applications and names of those who have expressed a desire to suspend membership at YSU Trade Union will be transferred to the Acting Rector of YSU to collect membership fees for the previous 15 months from the salaries of the employees who have refused membership in YSU Trade Union.
